A kidnapping and robbery suspect from Cathedral City who allegedly skipped a court date and fled to Mexico has been arrested at a border crossing, authorities announced Saturday. Eduardo Luis Espinoza failed to appear in court Tuesday in connection with a robbery and kidnapping from June 2021, according to authorities. A warrant was issued for his arrest. At about 9 a.m. Friday, the Cathedral City Police Department received a tip from someone who was able to provide Espinoza's location, and police began an investigation, eventually confirming his location as being in Mexico.
