Crews began renovations at the Cathedral of St. Joseph a little more than one year ago. Late last week, the Most Rev. W. Shawn McKnight, bishop of the Diocese of Jefferson City, announced that changes at the cathedral have progressed and although diocese leaders hoped it would be done in time for Easter, he scheduled the Rite of Re-dedication for May 5. The approximately $15 million project addresses numerous mechanical and accessibility issues within the structure while greatly enhancing the cathedral's hospitality and spiritual functionality.
